The thermo-flaking process consists in the transformation of cereal grains and legumes into flakes. The process, permitting to produce flaked feeds is developed in three phases:
Hydrothermal treatment, with the steam cooking of the raw material at a variable temperature from 110° to 140° C.
Mechanical treatment, through which grains are rolled or reduced into sheets.
Drying – cooling treatment, during which flakes acquire the characteristics of humidity and temperature, suitable to their conservation.
Processes and Technology. Our flaking process is composed by the following phases: Steam Cooking, Rolling Drying, Cooling, Dust Aspiration and Decantation, Automated Control.
